Following the launch for all users of iOS 13 and iPadOS, several developers have already updated their apps with the latest features compatible. Readdle PDF Expert 7, one of the most popular iPhone and iPad PDF managers, has been updated today with multiple windows on iPad, Dark Mode, and more. This is the first major update to the app since its seventh version was released.
The update enables multiple windows to be used on the iPad, one of iPadOS 13’s main features. Users can now work side-by-side on two or more PDF documents at the same time, even keeping the app open in different spaces. PDF Expert 7 also promotes new gestures, including a one-finger tap and drag gesture for selecting text, a three-finger pinch for copying or cutting text, and a three-finger tap for selecting the context menu.
In the latest version of the app, Readdle has also introduced Dark Mode, a much sought-after feature from many customers. It operates as you expect, adhering to the system-wide setup. Dark Mode is good for nighttime operating with PDFs, and it also helps save some battery on iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro with OLED displays.
The improved markup features made possible by integrating the new PencilKit provided with iPadOS 13 are another new feature available in PDF Expert 7. When using the Apple Pencil or drawing straight on the screen, users can have coherent experience across the entire system.
