Rumors about a new 16-inch MacBook Pro are not exactly new, with recent icon evidence found in Catalina’s macOS betas suggesting that the redesign described in some reports will not happen as we thought.
Today, a photo found in the release version of macOS 10.15.1 shows another look at the new machine, revealing that a power / touch ID key separated from the Touch Bar screen will be one of its new features. This confirms earlier reports that, instead of the software one of the current models, the new machine had a real escape key.
The previous icon found last week was removed from the launch build of macOS Catalina 10.15.1, which might mean that the release date is not in October as suggested by some rumors. Nonetheless, the recent leaks from Apple make it very clear that the machine is not going to be a significant overhaul as many expected.
