If you want the ultimate experience on the iPhone 11 using night mode, how about a town with 40 continuous days of darkness?
Head into the Arctic Circle, and visit places where the sun never ends in the summer for weeks, and where it never rises in the winter for weeks. Photographer Amos Chapple went to one of these to take some really amazing pictures: Murmansk’s Russian city.
In a photo essay on PetaPixel, Chapple told the story.
He said he was given an unprecedented level of freedom just to shoot using the iPhone.
He described the mode of the night as essentially witchcraft.
Chapple expressed my frustration with the lack of manual night mode switching when the camera disagrees, and with the internal reflections seen in bright light images
Yet apart from these grievances, the photos are beautiful. Samples can be found below, but visit his post to see all of them. Please post them in the comments if you’ve been using Night mode and have your own photos to share.
